The 1st Brazilian Congress of Computers in Education (CBIE 2012) was held in Rio de Janeiro/RJ, from November 26 to 30, 2012, organized by the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) and the Universidade Federal do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (UNIRIO), together with the Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (UERJ). This edition had the theme “Information Technologies and the Integration of Academia, Schools, Government, and Business for Sustainable Education”. The proceedings with the scientific papers accepted and presented in the CBIE 2012 events were published in the volumes listed below.
