CodeBo Unplugged: an unplugged game for teaching Stack Data Structure
Abstract
The teaching of Data Structure is a challenge in Computing Education at Brazil, this problem is enhanced by the inclusion of Computing in Basic Education. Furthermore the factors related to the complexity of Data Structure cases is the lack of structure in Brazilian public schools. This work aims to present a print and play game for teaching Stack data structure with a focus on Elementary School students. In the game CodeBô Unplugged, students are challenged to solve puzzles with movement commands and stack manipulation, with the aim of taking CodeBô to the end point of the map. It is idealized that this game can be used in the classroom for the development of skills proposed in the standards of Informatics in Basic Education.
