Experience report on the use of software for the construction of visually attractive activities for autism students

Abstract


The present work aims to present an experience report of the execution of an extension project aimed at the use of software for the construction of visually attractive activities for students with autism, based on the premises of Structured Teaching, developed in the Association of Autistic Friends of Alagoas (AMA-AL). In this sense, the stages of the process of construction of the activities are described, which began with a collection of information about the demands of each student, observing the attendance and interviews with the multidisciplinary team of the association, so that the activities were delineated with based on the peculiarities and level of development of each student. Afterwards, the activities were validated by the team in order to ensure that the premises of structured teaching were present, as well as to be visually attractive, to stimulate the interest and autonomy of the target public in the execution of the activities, assisting the teaching- learning. Finally, the activities were organized in modules, using durable and detachable material. At the end, interviews were carried out with the institution's team, which signaled the gains of the work with the new material.
