Abstract

Nursing Homes provide a quality of life in their old age when the family cannot provide it. However, given its almost always philanthropic nature, the small teams of caregivers end up lacking adequate attention to each individual. In this way, the Internet of Healthcare Things (IoHT) can increase the quality of care, boosting smart healthcare facilities. This work presents a wearable computing prototype to assist in the health care of older people, using minimally invasive sensors, enabling the collection, in real-time, of heart rate and temperature data from multiple individuals, in addition to possible falls.
