Uma imagem não vale nada sem palavras: Estudo sobre o uso do Texto Alternativo em Portais de Notícias Brasileiros
Resumo
Introdução: O texto alternativo constitui um elemento fundamental para garantir a plena compreensão de conteúdos imagéticos por usuários com deficiência visual. Objetivo: Este estudo investiga a implementação dessa ferramenta em 38 portais de notícias brasileiros. Metodologia: A metodologia adotada consistiu na análise sistemática de três categorias distintas de conteúdo noticioso: (1) imagens de pessoas, (2) representações de situações e (3) fotografias de lugares. Resultados: Os resultados obtidos revelam uma significativa deficiência na implementação dessa ferramenta de acessibilidade. Identificou-se, em muitos casos, uma completa ausência de textos alternativos ou, quando presentes, descrições excessivamente simplificadas que não transmitem adequadamente o contexto informativo das imagens.
