Early Research Training in Engineering Education: Systematization of a Project-Based and Prototype-Building Experience
Resumo
This article systematizes an early research training experience developed through RemiBots at Corporación Universitaria Remington. The strategy combined project-based learning, hands-on exploration, and prototype construction before written project formulation. Institutional records from 2020 to the first semester of 2026 were retrospectively analyzed for 35 unique students. Results show a transition from technical mini-projects to team-based formative research projects and participation of 19 students in academic dissemination activities. The findings describe the strategy’s operational feasibility without establishing causal relationships with research competency development.
