The Proceedings of the 3rd Brazilian Symposium on Systematic and Automated Software Testing (SAST 2018) bring the papers selected and presented in the city of São Carlos/SP, Brazil, from September 17 to 21, 2018, as part of the 9th Brazilian Congress on Software: Theory and Practice (CBSoft 2018). In this issue, the proceedings include 10 full papers. All the papers received at least three reviews. The event's program committee was coordinated by Avelino Francisco Zorzo (PUCRS) and Guilherme Horta Travassos (UFRJ), who organized this volume. The articles in this volume were submitted on 06/22/2018, accepted for publication on 07/23/2018, with the final version submitted on 07/23/2018.
