Abstract

Domestic violence against women (VDCM) is one of the most serious local and global public health issues, requiring to be addressed through effective public policies. Thus, the objective of this project is to to present a multicriteria decision analysis model (MCDA) based on the Tri-B ELECTRE to classify the municipalities of the state of Pará according to the risk to domestic violence against women in their territories in order to map them in descending order as to this risk. A model is proposed that considers among the criteria for analysis and classification the existence of equipment for support and protection of women in these municipalities, as well as their socioeconomic indicators. The results showed that in municipalities with a lower risk of VDCM there are protection equipments, good socioeconomic indicators, but a high rate of denunciations, corroborating the maxim that environments with more mechanisms for protecting women lead to a higher number of denunciations. Thus, the methodology used allowed the identification of municipalities where there is a higher risk of VDCM, the mapping of these municipalities and regions, enabling focused actions that are more likely to be effective in combating and preventing VDCM.
