Abstract

The procedures involved in the planning, development and optimization stages of a Big Data project present challenges in the scope of Requirements Engineering (RE), highlighting the difficulties inherent in managing requirements in multidisciplinary teams. Optimizing activities related to requirements processes and processes involving other teams (e.g., Design/UX and Data Science) contributes to the success of these projects. This paper presents an experience report on the difficulties faced in specifying requirements and their solutions in the development of a Big Data platform in the public sector.
