Boolace: A Propositional Logic Game-Course
Abstract
During the execution of the CEFOR-IFES Lovelace Court Project, which aims to rescue and expand the female presence in computing careers through innovative insights, a great difficulty was perceived by students in understanding and using propositional logic in programming logic expressions , a problem that can discourage students from the courses offered and, consequently, from the technological area. To promote student engagement and interest, as well as facilitate and enhance the teaching and learning of propositional logic applicable in programming, in a dynamic, interactive and motivational way, using technology itself as a mediator, this work is developing the game-course "Boolace - the Logic of Lovelace's Kingdom", combining entertainment with education. This is a qualitative and descriptive research, of an applied nature, using the procedures of bibliographic research and evaluation.
