The Adventures of Manari: An educational game to assist in learning mathematics and computational thinking.

Abstract

The present article addresses the conception of an educational game aimed at stimulating learning in mathematics, integrating computational thinking and regional elements such as Brazilian folklore. "The Adventures of Manari" is a mobile game in platform format, where the levels consist of solving simple problems of basic mathematics. The central theme revolves around mathematical operations, presented through missions assigned to the player. It is grounded in Computational Thinking, based on Piaget's Cognitive Theory and Constructivism. Targeted at the 8 to 10-year-old audience, the game positions itself as a complementary pedagogical resource, recommended to support the teaching of Mathematics.
