Um processo de digitalização 3D e remapeamento de textura para extração de métricas faciais

Abstract


Graphic computing has shown great growth in the last few decades, processing from two-dimensional images to high-complexity three-dimensional geometric models. Process automation gains relevance when we are faced with the need for the availability of digital images. In this sense, an emerging area of application is ophthalmology, where the use of 3D processes, for the generation of face models, frame fitting, and extraction of facial metrics, present if as non-trivial automation needs. This article proposes a process for the acquisition of 3D facial models and the extraction of facial metrics, for making glasses frames, using photogrammetry, UV texture mapping, and a previously trained neural network model. The results generated point to a 3D facial model with rich details, which, through the facial points obtained, evidences the application of the extraction of important facial metrics for the manufacture of glasses.
