Female Training in UI and UX Design through FIGMA: Encouraging women's inclusion in the tech industry
Abstract
With the mission of increasing inclusion and female representation in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), an academic league from a private educational institution in Alagoas analyzed the regional market and identified a gap in UX and UI Design, noticeable in some apps and websites, which could turn into employment opportunities. Given this scenario, an 8-hour course on the Figma tool was conducted using active methodologies, taught by women from the information technology field of the aforementioned institution. The course was open to all interested parties, but with an emphasis on solutions and products aimed at the female audience.
