Abstract


Due to the need of the professionals and the lack of practicality of the use of conventions, there was an increase in the demand for faster and simpler methods to carry out distance measurements. Digital tape measure are one of the best options to solve these problems, but in many cases they are not so accessible due to their high price. In view of these needs, this article aims to detail the development of a prototype of a low cost digital tape using Arduino and ultrasonic sensor, which are inexpensive materials with wide availability in the market.
