Accidents on Brazilian highways in the last 10 years: an open data analysis
Abstract
Analyzing public data to generate information relevant to society is a topic that has been discussed in recent years, mainly due to the ease of access to many of these data that are made available on an open Web. This work explores the number of traffic accidents and their characteristics, such as location, mortality, type of road, among others, with the purpose of providing analyzes that may aid in the understanding and characterization of these occurrences based on technologies for manipulation of geospatial information.
