Abstract

Improper disposal of pharmaceutical waste causes environmental and public health problems. Despite existing laws, incorrect disposal is still common. The adoption of blockchain technology in the reverse logistics of these wastes results in greater transparency and security for participants in the chain. This article proposes a reverse logistics model for pharmaceutical waste based on Hyperledger Fabric blockchain.
