Tempo de Justiça: um relato da experiência da implantação e uso de Bussines Intelligence em organizações públicas

Abstract

The Programa Tempo de Justiça is a cooperation pact between the State's security organs, the Public Prosecutor's Office, the Public Defender's Office and the Judiciary, in order to guarantee the real-time monitoring of judicial processes, seeking speed in the trial, ensuring the effective application of law. The main difficulties faced by public security agents are: the lack of integration between interinstitutional information, the absence of more efficient monitoring controls in procedures for elucidating and combating crimes. The main contributions of this program were the implementation of the Business Intelligence (BI) tool integrating data from four institutions; the development of operational monitoring panels; the creation of a repository of knowledge about the procedural progress of homicide crimes through a Wiki. Finally, we present the results obtained in order to evaluate the effectiveness of the tool as a support to the real confrontation of these challenges of ensuring law enforcement.
