EduMaker Center at IF Maker Sertão/IFSertãoPE Petrolina Campus: An Experience Report

Abstract

The "Núcleo Edumaker," created at the "Espaço IF Maker Sertão" of IFSertãoPE/Campus Petrolina, promoted the maker culture in education between 2022 and 2023. Through workshops, courses, and events, the project impacted 530 people, encouraging practical and interdisciplinary learning. Its activities included 3D modeling and printing, participation in fairs, and community engagement. Despite financial and structural challenges, the project demonstrated educational and sustainable potential, highlighting the importance of free access and continuous training. In the future, it aims to expand its activities and establish a network of maker spaces in the region.
