The Proceedings of the 1st Workshop on Open Science Practices for Software Engineering (OpenScienSE 2021) bring the papers selected and presented in Joinville on September 28th, 2021. In this issue, the proceedings include 10 full papers. These papers were selected through an open peer review process, from a total of 12 full papers submitted, which implied an acceptance rate of 83.33%. The event's program committee was coordinated by Edson Oliveira Junior (State University of Maringá, UEM, Brazil) and Christina von Flach Garcia Chavez (Federal University of Bahia, UFBA, Brazil), who organized this volume. The articles in this volume were submitted on 07/25/2021, accepted for publication on 08/20/2021, with the final version submitted on 08/27/2021.
