The Proceedings of the 16th Brazilian Symposium on Software Components, Architectures, and Reuse (SBCARS 2022) bring the papers selected and presented in the online edition of the event, held in Uberlândia/MG, from October 03-07, 2022, as part of the 13th Brazilian Conference on Software: Theory and Practice (CBSoft 2022). In this issue, the proceedings include 09 full papers and 01 short paper. These papers were selected through a triple-blind review, from a total of 30 papers submitted, which implied an acceptance rate of 33,3%. The event's program committee was coordinated by Thelma Elita Colanzi (UEM), who organized this volume. The articles in this volume were submitted on 07/25/2022, and accepted for publication on 08/23/2022, with the final version submitted on 08/30/2022.
