Abstract

Health information presents significant spatial-temporal and domain complexities, which brings challenges to the implementation of computer-aided diagnostic systems. This paper presents the modeling strategy of the clinical and psychological knowledge for a computer-aided syndromic diagnosis of dementia, based on multilevel modeling of healthcare systems. To model the knowledge, the concepts related to the dementia syndrome were identified, and the respective archetypes were elaborated, according to the openEHR specifications. It is expected, with the development of this project, a better support for the activities of early detection of dementia in primary care settings.
