Análise e visualização do processo de regionalização do Sistema Único de Saúde (SUS): Uma perspectiva em sistemas complexos
Abstract
The health regionalization process in Brazil aims to guarantee the population's right to health, reducing social and territorial inequalities. A health region is composed of a collection of adjacent municipalities, organized to promote greater efficiency in providing health services. Health managers have the autonomy to identify health regions, without pre-established criteria. So, a data-driven tool that helps their analyses can be very useful. Our research aimed to analyze the health regionalization process using data from patient flow records from the National Hostal Information System (SIHSUS). Using complex systems techniques, we sought to analyze the patient movement network and propose means of evaluating and visualizing the behavior of health regions in each Brazilian state. Among the main results, we observe that the movement of patients is closely related to the health regions. To support evidence-based public policymaking, we developed a web platform showing all visualizations and analyses in an accessible and interactive way.
