Dental Second Look AI: Multipurpose tool for the analysis of panoramic dental images
Abstract
Dental health has become an important topic in digital health, as it not only impacts people’s lives but also reveals essential statistics about the health profile of the individuals analyzed, correlating oral information with population characteristics of interest. An automated tool is proposed for the analysis of panoramic dental images, presenting two main services: (i) the classification of oral diseases in patients, using a set of neural network models, to support dental decision-making; and (ii) the presentation of epidemiological data extracted from data and images to support decision-making in health management.
