Aparência e Comportamento do NPC e sua Influência na Tomada de Decisão e Percepção Jogador-NPC
Abstract
This exploratory study involved the participation of volunteers in a game with NPCs developed by the authors of this paper. This study aimed to find evidence to prove whether the appearance and behavior of NPCs in games can influence various aspects related to players. The findings indicated that the appearance of NPCs can significantly impact players’ emotions, immersion, perception of NPCs, and decision-making. It was observed that poorly dressed NPCs negatively influenced players’ emotional state, while well-dressed NPCs generated greater trust and positively influenced decision-making. These findings can contribute to developing more engaging and captivating characters, thus creating characters that enhance players’ emotional involvement and align with their preferences in decision-making. Additionally, the study highlights the importance of human-agent interaction in games and may stimulate further research in this area.
