Analysis of urban mobility through mobile cellular network data
Abstract
With the economic growth in recent years, many brazilian cities have also encountered problems such as population growth, traffic jam and violence. At the same time, the economic power of residents has grown, allowing many to acquire electronic devices such as mobile phones, with Brazil crossing the edge of a cell phone per person. Taking advantage of this scenario, this paper aims examine the feasibility of using traffic simulators, associated with mobility data from mobile phones to analysis and prediction of patterns of urban mobility.
