Abstract

Besides providing interoperability, context aware middlewares must interact with the environment in order to collect relevant information for context determination. The aim of this work is use ontologies to model context informations, allowing, at the same time, that developers build applications capable of structurally and semantically modify the underlying context ontology by making use of an API (Application Programming Interface). Even more, it also includes the support for the task of consistency verification in the uOS middleware before each change, to guarantee that the inclusion of a new application will not interfere the others.
