INEXT: A Computer System for Indoor Object Location using RFID

Resumo


The widespread use of the Internet of Things (IoT) has stimulated a growing demand for indoor location systems, given that the Global Positioning System (GPS) may not be efficient or may not work as effectively in such an environment. Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology facilitates the construction of low-cost systems for locating and identifying objects. In this study, we propose a computational system that uses passive RFID tags and readers for asset management and control of tagged objects in buildings.
