A Hybrid Physical-Digital Approach to Strengthen Cervical Cancer Awareness and Prevention

Abstract

This study is based on the importance of teaching pathology to undergraduate health students, highlighting challenges such as the lack of curricular standardization and the scarcity of clinical practice. Cervical cancer is a public health problem in Brazil, and strategies such as the incorporation of HPV testing are aimed at effective prevention. Innovative tools, such as games and simulators, show promise for improving practical and interactive teaching. The simulator, developed on the Unity platform, integrates a physical board game. It is hoped that this approach will improve the teaching of pathology to future health professionals. Future studies will assess the validation of the combination of methods.
