Gamification Design for a Software Testing I Undergraduate Course Using Level-Up Framework
Resumo
Introduction: Software Testing is an essential part of Software Engineering; however, it faces educational challenges such as insufficient practical training and student demotivation. Objective: This study proposes a gamified design for an undergraduate Software Testing I course. Methodology or Steps: This design is guided by the Level-Up framework for creating gamified educational experiences, which integrates Design Thinking steps with the Octalysis gamification framework. Expected Results: This gamified approach is expected to contribute to Software Testing education by improving students’ performance and intrinsic motivation, promoting a more engaging, collaborative, and meaningful learning experience.
