Uma Arquitetura para Ajuste Dinâmico de Dificuldade em Jogos Single Player Baseada no Loop MAPE-K
Resumo
O Ajuste Dinâmico de Dificuldade (DDA) busca ajustar o desafio em jogos digitais de forma personalizada. Entretanto, a maioria das abordagens existentes é restrita a gêneros específicos ou se apoia em estratégias singulares, dificultando a generalização das soluções desenvolvidas, seja em termos de jogos, gêneros e/ou mecânicas diferentes. Este trabalho apresenta o DDA-MAPEKit, uma arquitetura e framework (Unity Engine) baseada no ciclo MAPE–K para mecanismos de DDA modulares e extensíveis. Ao modularizar a dificuldade por grupos de mecânicas e combinar técnicas baseadas em regras, dados e Inteligência Artificial, o DDA-MAPEKit fornece uma espinha dorsal adaptativa. Experimentos com jogadores simulados em quatro jogos (CicloExergame, Endless SpaceShooter, Kailius e Match3) evidenciaram melhorias na regulação do desempenho e redução de variabilidade. Esses resultados foram complementados por avaliação com pacientes no CicloExergame e por estudo com desenvolvedores/game designers, oferecendo múltiplas perspectivas de evidência sobre a proposta.
