Use of Social and Educational Robots in Early Childhood and Elementary Education Teaching-Learning Processes: A Scoping Review
Resumo
This scoping review synthesizes robot-assisted education for children aged 3–12. Analyzing 27 empirical studies (2020–2025), we examine platforms, emotional effects, and learning domains. Findings show a reliance on costly commercial humanoids and high student motivation, but limited evidence for sustained cognitive gains. Research primarily targets STEM and literacy, varying between educational levels. However, the field suffers from small samples, brief interventions, and weak theoretical grounding. This review emphasizes the need for inclusive, methodologically robust, and pedagogically grounded research that prioritizes accessibility and equity.
