Utilizando a Percepção Sócio-Cognitiva para Analisar Experiência Feminina em Hackathons

Resumo


Hackathons são eventos colaborativos de curta duração em que pequenas equipes tem o objetivo de criar, desenvolver e apresentar solução para um problema. Eles estão se tornando cada vez mais populares em todo o mundo. Entretanto, o interesse de mulheres nestes eventos ainda é baixo. O objetivo deste trabalho é investigar sob uma perspectiva sócio-cognitiva como as experiências femininas em hackathons são percebidas. A autoetnografia é o método utilizado para a sistematização da experiência da primeira autora como participante de dois hackathons. Os resultados sugerem que os formatos dos eventos e as experiências de colaboração com suas equipes podem afetar as crenças de autoeficácia e expectativas de resultados. Estas crenças podem influenciar na percepção das mulheres sobre seu potencial de atuação no hackathon e no mercado de trabalho.
