Active Learning in Information Systems: New Proposed Techniques and Reflections on the Experiences
Abstract
The rapid development of information and communication technologies has changed the profile of students. Expositive classes tend to be monotonous and may lead students to disinterest. In this context, Active Learning (AA) can help to improve the teaching-learning process. This paper presents an overview of the use of AA in Information Systems (IS) undergraduate programs, as well as other techniques that have proven to be effective for use with IS students in their process of building knowledge of course subjects. In addition to the techniques, some results and reflections on the experiences are also presented.
