Implementation and Evaluation of Elements Aimed at Achieving Enjoyment

Abstract

This paper explores the implementation and evaluation of elements to enhance user enjoyment in Virtual Reality Serious Games. Focusing on the game "Giro Jampa," aimed at wheelchair users for health conditioning, the Gameflow methodology was applied to measure player enjoyment. Requirements and additional elements were incorporated, spanning categories such as concentration, challenge, and immersion. The evaluation, conducted with thirteen users with spinal cord injuries, revealed high enjoyment scores, validating the effectiveness of this approach in health-focused Serious Games.
