The Proceedings of the 3rd Workshop of Applied Computing for the Management of the Environment and Natural Resources (WCAMA 2011) bring the papers selected and presented in the edition of the event held in Natal/RN, Brazil, from July 19 to 22, 2011, as part of the 31st Brazilian Computing Society Congress (CSBC 2011) which had the theme "Computing for All: On the Path to Social Evolution". In this issue, the proceedings include 08 full papers. These papers were selected through a single-blind review, from a total of 22 full papers submitted, which implied an acceptance rate of 36%. The event's program committee was coordinated by Valeria Gonçalves Soares (UFPB), who organized this volume. The articles in this volume were submitted on 04/15/2011, accepted for publication on 05/12/2011, with the final version submitted on 05/26/2011.
