The Proceedings of the 19th Brazilian Symposium on Multimedia and the Web (WebMedia 2013) bring the articles selected and presented at the edition of the event held in Salvador, from November 5 to 8, 2013. This edition includes 29 full papers and 24 short papers, selected from 87 full papers and 62 short papers submissions, with acceptance rates of 33% and 38%, respectively. Each submitted paper was assigned to at least three program committee members for review. The symposium committee adopted a double-blind review process to provide a fair selection from the submissions.
