Computational Thinking and Early Childhood Education: a didactic possibility in light of Unplugged Computing
Abstract
This article, an excerpt from our master's degree research in Education, aimed to investigate the insertion of computational thinking in Early Childhood Education, through unplugged computing in a school in the Municipal Education Network of the Municipality of Jaboatão dos Guararapes/PE. We used as methodology the application of a semi-structured questionnaire, the application of unplugged activities and content analysis. Among the results obtained, we indicate that the unplugged activities favored the identification of computational thinking, stimulated their creativity, critical analysis of the problem situation and solutions for it, reinforcing the idea of the importance of pedagogical practices in Early Childhood Education that develop computational thinking in light of unplugged computing.
