Abstract

This paper presents an experience report on applying the game AI-AUDIT in three courses offered by the Institute of Computing at UNICAMP. The game presents examples of AI systems, the use of which has proliferated in society, along with the risks they can cause and examples of practices to mitigate them. The application of AI-AUDIT showed us that it is possible to stimulate discussions about ethics and AI in a ludic way. The game reinforced knowledge previously learned in the classroom. It contributed to teaching about risks that were still unknown, indicating its educational potential. However, the game’s design and mechanics limitations impacted its effectiveness in building critical thinking on the subject.
