A Study on the Perception and Attitude of Computational Systems Users Towards Artificial Intelligence
Abstract
This research investigates users’ perception of Artificial Intelligence (AI) systems using the ATAI scale - Attitude Towards Artificial Intelligence. Results from interviews with 76 participants, divided into four groups, highlight the significant relevance and dependence on computer systems, as well as the need for ethical and inclusive approaches in AI usage. Finally, discussions revolve around potential pathways and measures suitable for adopting effective, ethical, and responsible AI in Brazil, aiming to foster inclusion and equity rather than exacerbating inequality.
