TONetS: Simulador para Avaliação de Desempenho de Redes Ópticas Transparentes
Resumo
Este artigo apresenta o TONetS (Transparent Optical Network Simulator) uma ferramenta para avaliação de desempenho de redes ópticas transparentes. TONetS permite considerar em um mesmo cenário o estudo de algoritmos RWA, técnicas de sobrevivência, estratégias de posicionamento de conversores de comprimentos de onda e políticas para tentar minimizar injustiças no atendimento das conexões ópticas. Além disso, neste trabalho é apresentado um estudo de caso utilizando a ferramenta TONetS para comparar três estratégias de sobrevivência em redes ópticas transparentes. Esse estudo comparativo analisa métricas tais como, probabilidade de bloqueio, nível de restauração, utilização da rede e probabilidade de bloqueio por ausência de recursos na rota de backup.Referências
