SIGWEB for Smart Tourism: Maragogi/AL Case Study

Abstract

This article describes the development of a smart tourism SIG WEB for the coastal city of Maragogi, located in the state of Alagoas, Brazil. The initiative was carried out with the aim of promoting the city through the use of technology. The project involves identifying and displaying key tourist attractions, as well as essential locations such as pharmacies, districts, and restaurants. To achieve this, an interactive website was created using the OpenStreetMap platform as its cartographic base. The project’s goal is to enhance the experience of visitors, highlight the local tourism potential, and contribute to the modernization of tourist information services in Maragogi.
