The Proceedings of the 9th Workshop on Testing and Fault Tolerance (WTF 2008) bring the papers selected and presented in the edition of the event held in Rio de Janeiro/RJ, Brazil, on May 27, 2008, as part of the 26th Brazilian Symposium on Computer Networks and Distributed Systems (SBRC 2008). In this issue, the proceedings include 15 full papers. These papers were selected through a blind review, from a total of 29 papers submitted, which implied an acceptance rate of 51,7%. The event was organized by The Fluminense Federal University (UFF), The Federal University of Rio de (UFRJ) and The State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ). The General Chair was Raul Ceretta Nunes (UFSM).
The WTF is promoted by the Special Commission on Fault Tolerant Systems (CE-TF) of the Brazilian Computer Society (SBC).
The historical rescue of this edition, including the recovery of the files and the acquisition of the metadata, was carried out by Prof. Luiz Antonio Rodrigues (Unioeste) with special assistance from Prof. Elias P. Duarte Jr. (UFPR).
