Ágora: application developed by public education students to assist in the development of the competence to argue
Abstract
Agora is a group game for mobile devices in which players, called counselors, manage a city, making collective decisions in the face of various problem situations presented. The proposal is that basic education students, especially high school students, through concrete statements, exercise their arguments and are encouraged to expose, defend their points of view and make decisions collectively based on ethics and respect for others. Agora can contribute to the learning process of public high school students, in addition to bringing a fun resource to the classroom, a game that simulates managing a city and provides discussions and defenses of points of view on various current topics.
