The Proceedings of the 30th Thesis and Dissertation Contest (CTD 2017) bring the papers selected and presented in the edition of the event held in São Paulo/SP, Brazil, from July 02 to 06, 2017, as part of the 37th Congress of the Brazilian Computing Society (CSBC 2017), whose theme was "Computing for Everything and Everyone". In this issue, the proceedings include 16 papers. The event's Chair Elisa Yumi Nakagawa (USP) organized this volume.
