Abstract

Over time mobile devices became part of the daily routine of many young people, which can’t be separated from their gadgets even during classes. The growing (mis)use of those devices inside educational institutions, mostly in classes, resulted on it being considered as a villain to these institutions. This work presents the Sigma Enquete, an electronic voting tool for mobile devices designed to provide appliance of active learning as well as minimize the inattentiveness of students while using these resources. Tests applied on real learning environments resulted in large acceptance by teachers and tutors towards the Sigma Enquete, and also promoted more participation of apprentices in classroom activities.
