Connections between Computational Thinking and Algebraic Thinking in Game Design in the Scratch Platform for Teaching Mathematics in the Final Years of Basic Education
Abstract
In the current educational scenario, there is resistance from students in relation to mathematics. So, it is necessary to introduce ways of teaching different from traditional teaching. In the present investigation, the objective is to seek to develop a playful didactic-pedagogical strategy for the development of algebraic thinking (AT) from computational thinking (CT). For this, SCRATCH-CALC is proposed, an environment based on the Scratch block programming platform, in which students can create their projects with games and at the same time develop contexts with CT and AT in problem solving.
