Um mecanismo de gerência de mobilidade em redes sem fio heterogêneas definidas por software

Abstract


With the arrival of 5G technology and its imminent popularization, a new approach is needed in the way network exchanges are carried out through mobile devices (DM), also known as handover. 5G uses higher frequencies than 4G and therefore has a shorter range, so more 5G access points are needed to cover a given area, thus increasing the chances that a mobile device (DM) will need to perform handovers more often. The present work presents a mechanism for the management of handovers using the SDN (Software Defined Networking) paradigm that helps the DM to connect in the best network, thus avoiding unnecessary handovers, achieving efficiency in the transfer of responsibility over the choice of network.
