Abstract

This project proposed the development of a weather station inside the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Bahia, Valença, making use of a Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) in a Smart City context, measuring air temperature and relative humidity in the campus and feeding a public online database. It is intended to start the use of WSN technologies in the campus and encourage the research and development of information systems by the Informatics Technician course students. We expect that the students and the institution can contribute in the development of local technologies, bringing benefits for the city.
