Abstract

The reality of living and treating children and adolescents with autism requires the application of consistent and integrated methods in all areas of their lives, in addition to effective communication between all involved: parents, teachers and therapists. However, there is a great difficulty in communication between the various institutions belonging to the individual's routine, which hinders the effective application of therapy. The purpose of this article is to present the initial version of a mobile application that enables greater efficiency in the communication of those involved in the treatment and in living with individuals with autism. The proposed artifact is the result of an extension work carried out on the premises of an institution that offers treatment to people with autism. Initially, a requirements survey was conducted based on interviews with directors and therapists and on-site observations. Then, the application prototype was presented to members of the institution and its functionality was approved. Finally, the application was implemented using the Ionic framework.
