Abstract

This study presents the importance of software engineering in the development and updating of large-scale applications, using the SAP tool as a case study. SAP SE is the German multinational that has 99 of the 100 largest companies within its customer portfolio, as well as a multinational mining company. This study shows the scalability issues of one of the largest logistics operators in the world and the measures that have been taken to improve performance of the world’s leading integrated management system.
